First, if you wake up and turn on your TV and find out that I am on TV with my own reality TV show. What will you do?
Scream and shout? Take a video for your snap and IG story? Tweet about it?
Second, before you think this is another hilarious series of my adventures as a young person on earth, it is not.
A few weeks ago, I wrote an episode and told you all I wanted to go and refuel my creative juices. Guess what?
I am backkkkkkkkk *in Naira Marley's Voice
This is just a letter where I tell you all of the thing I have been up to while I was MIA
1. I Paid NEPA back in their own Coin.
First, NEPA officers are very very stupid people. They are always the first to carry ladder and come to cut light when you are owing Bill. Oya give us that use Prepaid Meter (PPM) and are not owing light nau, No.
On this fateful day, this NEPA man came to cut Light when we hadn't had light for more than a week plus. I had just finished spreading my clothes when I spotted him setting ladder.
Me: Oga Good afternoon. Wetin happen now?
NEPA: Madam Una dey do Bypass for una house.
Me: As How? We use PPM nau. You no see am for gate.
NEPA: E No mean. This thing resemble bypass. I go cut am.
Me: Oga if you need to confirm anything, come inside.
*Oga NEPA ignores me because I am a babe wearing knicker and speaking English with Accent.
Me: That's okay.
I went to bring Rukewe (Rukewe is a dog btw. Her actual Name is Ruky but our Mama Yard and My younger brother remixed it to Rukewe and the babe dey answer the name well) to chase the human. He left his ladder and ran away. I took his ladder inside my house and kept it for two days. He came after two days to bail it with Three Thousand Nigerian Naira (3k). I would have collected more if my Mother was not home.
I was supposed to use the money to buy Cold Beer and Suya but they had not paid salary and I needed data. So Data took the money.
Small Chopss has asked that I contest for President so if you wake up and see any banner saying "ACTION LADY FOR PRESIDENT", No fear, na me be that.
All the promises Mama G told us in this song, I will fulfill it.
P.S: Before you come to tell me about law suites and class actions, don't forget that cutting wires is an offence. Thank you.
2. I wrote an exam that tested my Brain.
Don't think about it too much. I just wrote an exam and I passed; I didn't get to my target mark and I felt sad but my people have been hyping me up like crazy and I feel better. On the side, this is me saying a big thank you to Baboo- He drove me to my exams, waited till I was done and dropped me off at home too. When I am rich, the first way you will find out is when you look at him.
3. I Spent Time with My Mom
This is the first time in almost Four years that I had time to chill, talk, play and do a lot of things with my mom. The last time we did that was in 2020- we took a girls trip to Enugu and had a swell time. I took this time to really enjoy her company, bound with her, take her to brunch, Spend her money, I even braided her hair and we are did a lot of amebo and gisting.
Fun times.
4. Work. Work. Work. Work. Work.
Don't ask me anything please. I just want to wake up and have plenty money in my bank account. When I spend it and blink, it will be replaced. But everyday I am doing content calendar, Sorting out backdrops, Kindly find attached, Best regards, CTA, "Can you hear me?", "Bubu Check if the mic is working"
I am finding solace in my salary and the word of the Lord:
2 Thessalonians 3:10 MSG
Don’t you remember the rule we had when we lived with you? “If you don’t work, you don’t eat.”
But I dey chop men. Lazy Man dey chop.
5. Letting down my hair.
Figuratively because I carried Shuku this period and my forehead stood on Business
I had fun.
I went to Piggyvest's Open House Portharcourt with Baboo. I attend The LifeStream Church's Scale up convention with my friend Omalicha- Pallo was ordained a Minister and I saw Peculiar for the first time in years. Otumba Pumpy-umpy-umpkin and I spent a part of our Summer on Pinterest while talking via video call for hours. Did some shopping. I taught Kachi how to make Pancakes. Cooked a lot. Slept. Watched a few movies too
6. Delulu.
See this is the major thing that brought my creative juices back to its former state was Delulu. It started on a very random Sunday. I was in Church and it was time to pray. I closed my eyes and I saw Akara and bread.
Was I craving it? No but it made me realise that I am made for this Delulu life
In the past weeks I have worked at NNPC and shared fuel Vouchers to every member of my immediate and extended family including my church. I have driving a 2020 Range Rover brown interior while playing "EleweUkwu" by TJ. I had a my offspring toddler throw tantrums because she wanted to lie on my tummy and I wasn't in the mood and so many other that I can't share because if I do, you will judge me .
The time off really did me a lot of good. I feel happy, I feel fulfilled and most importantly I am on seat, ready and active. I'll attend to all pending transactions and deals ASAP. Please bring more writing gigs. My goal is to get a pregnancy pillow on or before my birthday in November.
Sending you a Rose. I love you always
